Kali Lamb is a Senior Policy Analyst at The Clean Slate Initiative, where she supports efforts to expand access to record relief through policy analysis, legislative strategy, and implementation support. She analyzes record-clearing laws and policy proposals across states, translating complex legal frameworks into clear guidance for coalition partners, advocates, and internal teams.

Kali brings both professional expertise and lived experience to this work. As someone living with a criminal history record, she understands that a record is an administrative history, not a measure of a person’s character, value, or potential. Her work is also shaped by her time supporting people navigating employment barriers tied to records, where she saw how practical support, trust, and opportunity can change what becomes possible. That perspective continues to guide her approach to policy: people directly impacted by systems should be part of shaping the solutions.

Before joining CSI, Kali worked at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, where she supported clients facing record-related barriers and helped develop strategies to reduce employment denials for people with criminal records. Kali is currently completing her B.A. in Sociology, bringing a research background that informs her approach to policy, systems, and social change.

Originally from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Kali is now based in Philadelphia, where she lives with her three dogs—Dusty, Arlo, and Zeus. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places, meeting people, spending time in parks, building community in everyday ways, and finding a good cup of coffee.
